The Village of Stamford is situated in the Northern foothills of the Catskill Mountains in Delaware County, New York near its border with Schoharie County.
Surrounded by spectacular rural landscapes, Stamford retains a unique small-town character (population around 2100), with a Main Street lined with architecturally significant buildings, housing an array of small, independent businesses, and grand Victorian houses giving evidence that this once was a special resort destination known as the “Queen of the Catskills.”
